Music for a Better Quad Cities Community
Facilitating music throughout the Quad Cities for the betterment of our community
The goal of Music to Move a City is simple, we want to use music to make the Quad Cities better. We believe that we can improve our community by providing programming, education, musicians advocacy, mentoring, and music therapy programs that would not otherwise be available to those that need it. Your sponsorship dollars will be used to help us begin implementing school programs, planning community events, and getting the word out about our non-profit. We’re so excited about what’s to come and are thankful for your consideration!
Some things that we do:
Education
Music education is a big deal to us. School music programs are constantly having budgets cut or being eliminated completely. One of our goals is to be an avenue that school administrators and teachers can use to keep music eduction programs in our local schools. This can be done by providing music equipment, locating music instructors, or helping stipend local instructors.
Instrument Donation
Typically, to begin learning an instrument, there has to be one to play in the first place! Our goal is to work with local schools and private students to provide the instruments that are needed for them to being to learn.
Community Events
We want to facilitate a network of talented and creative people in our Quad Cities to create initiatives that benefit our community. Our immediate goal is to do so by producing live shows that are possible because of your sponsorship dollars!
