About Us
We exist to facilitate music throughout the Quad Cities and beyond for the betterment of our community.
We believe that a thriving music scene adds tremendous value to our community. It creates hundreds of jobs, attracts new talent to our work force, invigorates our downtown communities and helps creates a lively, creative culture.
We achieve our mission statement by:
· Partnership with music educators with our “Bring Soul to School” which features one of our region’s most popular band “10 of Soul” to facilitate concerts and workshops to schools within in our community.
· Bringing music to the elderly by partnering with Troy Rangel to recruit musicians to perform in our retirement and assisted care facilities. Music has long proven to add many health benefits and quality of life to the elderly.
· To build relationships within our community by facilitating collaboration with more than a hundred of musicians throughout the Quad Cities. We believe that when musicians come together and perform together, good things happen.
· Through musician’s advocacy including fairness in the workplace, career mentoring, resource and facilitating greater support and collaboration. This also includes, when possible, care and counseling for those within our music community who struggle with mental health and addiction.
· To create opportunities and resource for up and coming musicians. We believe there are some stars in our midst that with a little encouragement and help, we can help them reach their potential.
“Though we stand on the shoulders of giants, we still see further than the giants.”

At Music To Move a City, we believe in what we call “The Village” concept. We see our music community as a village. And within that village, there are people with different abilities, styles, resource, and experience. We believe that within this village there are “village elders” who are willing to use their time and ability to lead this village and to ensure its continued success.
